How to set up
To log in to participating services, you have 2 options:
- Option 1: Use a mobile app
- Option 2: Use a username and password
You can log in from a computer with both options.
For example, when you use a mobile app, you can:
- Go to the service's website on your computer - or any device
- Use the app just to log in
- Continue on your computer
Option 1: Use a mobile app
You will need to:
- Have government-issued ID
- Live in Canada
- Have a smartphone, iPad or tablet
- Get the BC Services Card app
The BC Services Card app is free. Only download it from the official app stores listed below. If you need help, read the step-by-step guide.
For iPhone or iPad
Requires iOS 13/iPadOS 13 or later. You can not use a beta version of iOS or iPadOS.
For Android
Requires Android version 6.0 or later. You can not use a beta operating system.
Already got the app?
You can use it to access participating services from any device.
Option 2: Use a username and password
You will need to:
- Have a BC Services Card - what's this?
- Have an email address
- Get a BC Token
- Choose a username and password
A BC Token is a small device that looks like this:
It adds an extra layer of protection. It keeps your account safe if your password gets hacked, guessed or phished.
It's free to get. Each person gets their own. It cannot be shared with others.
